Dear All,

We’re delighted to welcome you to this 33rd Congress of EACTA, a joint meeting with ACTACC, hosted in marvellous Manchester! A large and friendly city, Mancunians are passionate for football, food and fine Industrial architecture. This year’s theme is collaborative working and in that spirit we invite you to our Gala dinner where you will dine underneath the wings of an Aerospatiale/BAC Concorde, one of the finest recent examples of collaborative European working in the commercial airline sector.

This year we collaborate with our UK colleagues in ACTACC and North American colleagues from the SCA to bring you an exciting meeting with world-renowned speakers, a comprehensive program and multiple pro-con debates. As cardiac anaesthetists and intensivists we are the cog that links together the cardiac surgeons, thoracic surgeons and cardiologists to deliver world-class care to our patients. As specialisation continues, so collaboration will become ever more important and we are at the forefront of the exciting new development of the perioperative physician.

Come and join us in Manchester in September 2018!
