The theme of this year's congress is “Challenges and Opportunities”, which reflects the evolving role of cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia amidst the increasing complexity of cardiovascular diseases. The congress will feature plenary lectures, symposia, teaching masterclasses, and workshops covering the latest advancements in clinical practice, education, and scientific research.
Alongside the scientific program, we have planned a variety of opportunities for networking and collaboration, including a welcome reception, social events, and an exhibition hall showcasing the latest developments in cardiothoracic anaesthesiology and intensive care.

The congress will start on October 11 and close on October 13, 2023.
Metro + Bus: If you approach Hungexpo by public transport, Bus 10 is passing on a round way from Örs Vezér Tere metro station around Hungexpo and stops at each gate.
The bus departs every 30 minutes throughout the day, with increased departures every 10 minutes in the morning (between 7:40 and 10:00) and in the afternoon at the end of the daily programme.

The 38th EACTAIC Annual Congress 2023 “Challenges and Opportunities”, Budapest, Hungary 11/10/2023 - 13/10/2023, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the UEMS and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process can be found on the AMA website.
Live educational activities outside Canada recognized by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) of the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Attendance to the congress will be monitored through scanner devices.
Regulations require scanning in and out of the venue to collect the total amount of hours the participant attended as part of the educational activity. Please make sure to scan your badge when entering and exiting the congress venue.
Starting from Friday, October 13th, 2023 participants will receive an email with a link to complete the evaluation form. The link will be active until Friday, October 27th, 2023.
The CME certificate will be sent via email upon attendance verification. Please note that all data must be submitted to EACCME by November 8th, 2023.
All attending participants will receive their certificate by email after the congress, between October 16 and October 20.
The official language of the Meeting is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.
Congress admitted participants are entitled to receive a box lunch free of charge on October 11, 12 and 13, 2023.

A digital poster area will be set up at the Congress venue, with electronic stations where all E-posters may be viewed throughout the event. Poster discussions will also be scheduled in the congress programme.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the supplement of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia, available for download starting from the first congress day.
Smoking in the meeting area is not allowed.
Delegates are kindly requested to set their mobile phones on silent mode in the rooms where scientific sessions are being held.
The organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the programme due to unforeseen circumstances. Please check the website or the official APP for regular updates.
If the EACTAIC Annual Congress 2023 cannot be held in whole or in part due to circumstances beyond the Organisers’ control (force majeure), the Organisers cannot be held liable for any damages, costs, or losses incurred.
The organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries or loss/damage to property of participants. Please ensure your own insurance coverage.
NOTE: Registration is compulsory in order to present an abstract during the Meeting.
Final selection of abstracts will be made by the Scientific Committee by the end of June. All abstracts’ corresponding authors will then be notified about the outcome (accepted or not accepted) of the review process.
Please ensure that the email provided during the abstract submission is accurate as all correspondences will be sent via email.
Please be informed that the scientific programme of the congress, including the list of all abstracts and related presenting authors, will be submitted to AIFA (Italian Ministry of Health) for a Pre-request of authorization.
Starting from August 1, 2021, the submitted abstracts cannot be withdrawn and no change to the titles or to the authors will be allowed.

Online registrations for in-person attendance will be accepted until October 4, after this date it will be possible to register directly on-site in Budapest.
At the end of the registration process online, a preliminary confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address provided.
Once the payment has been received, the invoice will be issued as final confirmation of your registration. The invoice will be issued by AIM GROUP HUNGARY KFT.
Participation letter with barcode/credentials will be sent few days before the congress. You will need it to access the meeting.
Registration fees are in euros (EUR), not including 27% Hungarian VAT.
Payments must be made in euros, by credit card or bank transfer (no cash payments are accepted).

After August 21, 2023, name changes will be charged a handling fee of Euro 100,00 (VAT included) per name change. A new online registration for each replacement will be required before processing.
Notification of cancellation must be sent in writing to AIM GROUP INTERNATIONAL. Cancellations will be accepted until September 8, 2023, with a refund of all prepaid fees except for a 30% administration charge.
