Organizers:

EACTAIC Educational Committee in collaboration with the EACTAIC CPB Subspecialty Committee.

Chair of the Session:

Learning Objectives:

After participating in this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Recognise the impact of perfusion during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) on acute kidney injury (AKI) after cardiac surgery.
  • Understand the correlations between perioperative hypotension and developing postoperative AKI after cardiac surgery.
  • Identify the importance of monitoring urine output during and following the CPB in identifying AKI after cardiac surgery.
  • Indicate the predictability of different biomarkers in diagnosing post-cardiac surgery AKI.
  • Demonstrate the roles of anaesthesiologists in preventing postoperative AKI following cardiac surgery.
Target Audience:

Cardiothoracic anaesthetists, perfusionists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, general anaesthetists, critical care certified nurses, anaesthesia certified nurses, nurses, interns, and medical students.
