Organized by the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto (Canada), in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Barcelona (Spain), this multidisciplinary course aims to promote the use, understanding, and research of three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography (3D TEE) in the perioperative setting.
This hybrid course includes a series of pre-recorded lectures designed to provide foundational knowledge on 3D TEE principles, anatomy, and image optimization. These materials are made available to participants ahead of the course to enhance their learning experience.
The in-person session offers a comprehensive hands-on review of 3D TEE image acquisition, optimization, and interpretation. Through practical stations and live demonstrations, participants will develop the skills and confidence to incorporate 3D TEE into their clinical practice and improve perioperative patient management.
