This is a survey and a narrative review of risk factors, prevention and treatment of the perioperative atrial fibrillation (poAF) in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Survey questions were filled by members of Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) and European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiologists (EACTA).
This survey describes the latest evidence and the current clinical practice in the USA, Canada and Europe and other countries.
